Adding RMT to the Waffle for Google

You will need to create a custom app in Google Workspace

1. Sign in to Google Admin Console:

   • The district's Google Workspace administrator should sign in to the Google Admin Console.

2. Create a Custom App:

   • In the Admin Console, navigate to Apps > Web and mobile apps.

   • Click on Add App > Add custom app to begin the process of creating the custom app for ReachMyTeach.

3. App Details:

   • App Name: Choose a name for the app that will be displayed in the waffle menu. For example, “ReachMyTeach Login.”

   • App Description: Provide a short description of the app, such as:
     “Quick access to ReachMyTeach platform via Google login.”

   • App URL: Enter the OAuth2 callback URL for ReachMyTeach, which is:
     http://reachmyteach.com/auth/google/callback
     This URL is where users will be directed after clicking the app in the waffle menu.

4. App Icon:

   • Upload this image (right click and downlaod image) for your app, so users can easily identify it in the waffle menu.

5. Configure Access:

   • In the Access Settings section, ensure the app is available to Everyone in the domain.
     Alternatively, if restricted access is needed, configure it to be available to specific users or groups within the district.

6. Add App to the Waffle Menu:

   • After creating the app, it will be listed in the domain's app list. The administrator will need to ensure the custom app is visible in the Google Apps menu (waffle) for users to access.

   • Make sure it appears under "ReachMyTeach Login" or whatever name you’ve chosen, so it’s easily identifiable.

7. Testing the Integration:

   • The district admin can test the app by clicking the waffle menu, locating "ReachMyTeach Login", and verifying that it redirects to the Google login flow at http://reachmyteach.com/auth/google/callback.

   • Upon successful login, users should be redirected to the appropriate page on ReachMyTeach.
